Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has voiced his determination to end the Red Devils' title drought which has been going on since 2017.
In his pre-match press conference, the Dutchman said: "It's about that, it's about winning trophies. We have good chances but you have to take it game by game.
"Now we will face Forest in 2 legs, our emphasis is on the first leg. Don't think too far ahead, for example it will only distract.
"We are happy when the atmosphere is built by the fans, the atmosphere is beautiful. This will motivate the players.
"It's the best feeling you can win a trophy. I've been lucky in my career to win a few trophies. It's great, especially for the fans.
"They (Man United) have so much experience of winning trophies and it's been too long now. We have realized the news and we have to do what we can to make it happen," he added.
Of the home side, manager Steve Cooper said: "This club has a great history in this competition but we want to create more memories for the fans as this is our first League Cup semi-final in a long time.
"We have to focus on the game and be ready to put everything we have.
